HCP Advisory on COVID-19 (March 16, 2020)

The COVID 19 outbreak is all over the globe. Countries are closing or controlling entries at airports and seaports. The rules are constantly changing by the hour. We feel this in the Philippines especially after major hubs like Metro Manila, Cebu, and Davao began controlling entry into their cities.

To protect our seafarers from the dangers of being exposed while traveling, and to prevent them from being stranded at airports or seaports, and to protect the safety of those onboard and the safety of our office staff--our principals are suspending all crew changes unless it is safe and for emergencies like illness.

All expiring contracts will be extended and this will be formalized by the principals.
MARINA has already announced procedures for COC and COP extension for those expiring onboard and HCP will be in charge of that.
Allotments will continue and all other contract benefits will be preserved such PhilHealth and MAB (Medical Assistance Benefit).

HCP will be closed but we will continue to operate via mobile and internet. Crewing Officers have their lines open and the Family Center is prepared to assist. Our social media channels are also up and running. IF REALLY NEEDED WE WILL OPEN OUR DOORS FOR YOU but please be patient.

We are all in this together; our seafarers and their families, the HCP team, and our principals. Lets continue to cooperate through common sense and patience. We have to depend on each other so that all of us can get through this.
