HCP and MARINA Meeting
Last July 14, Hartmann Crew Philippines (HCP) met with representatives of the Maritime Industry Authority to explore opportunities for collaboration with Maritime Industry Authority in the area of maritime education and training in relation to the country’s continuing compliance with the requirements of the STCW Convention for seafarers 1978, as amended.
The President, Giovanni Tuapin, and other HCP leaders warmly welcomed MARINA OIC Admin Sonia Malaluan and Planning and Policy Director, Luisito U delos Santos.
Former MARINA Administrator VADM Robert A Empedrad Ret (AFP) and former STCWO Deputy Executive Director, Capt Jeffrey A Solon were also invited to present their insights.
During the meeting, Mr. Tuapin shared the company's best practices to the guest-officials in ensuring that HCP provides professional and highly motivated Filipino Officers and Ratings to its Principals. The company hopes that such visit would open doors of possibilities and ties with MARINA, the government agency responsible for the development, promotion, supervision, and regulation of the country’s maritime industry.
