HCP's Celebration of World Maritime Day

Hartmann Crew Philippines (HCP) held a pre-celebration of World Maritime Day in pursuant of this year’s theme, “Shipping Indispensable to the World” last September 22, 2016. The said event focused on the “critical link between shipping and global society” as stated by the International Maritime Organization.

In line with this, HCP produced two online quizzes – World and Philippine Shipping – that tested the wit of every seafarer on some facts in the maritime industry. Both of which are aimed to educate both—seafarers or non-seafarers— on the importance of maritime transport in our lives. All successful passers got a theme-printed shirt as their prize.

All HCP crew were given a car sticker giveaway in addition to prizes won from the raffle. Other games included a “Family Feud” competition with answers based on surveys by seafarers. In the afternoon, a simple treat of coffee and pastries were also served to the guests. Joining the celebration was SMART, whose booth gave away freebies as they introduced their Marino All Abroad sim.

Hartmann Crew Philippines is one with the maritime industry in celebration of World Maritime Day 2016. For centuries, shipping has done so much in service of society. HCP thanks all those who have contributed to its success and strive to improve it for future generations.
