Hartmann Solidifies Presence as Shipowners

August-27-2021

Shipping and transport have kept the lifeline of the world running in the time of pandemic. The Hartmann Group thrives with positive market and is doing well in its core: gas, dry bulk, and cement. Although a few ships have left from its ship management, the Hartmann Group solidifies its presence as a shipowner by acquiring vessels of its strength – LPG tankers.

As reported in June 2021, Hartmann Reederei orders three LPG carriers from China, expected to be delivered by 2023. Based on the technology of Gaschem Beluga, these vessels are dual-fuel LPG-powered and designed with intent in mind – to lower emissions by maximizing fuel efficiency and energy saving (EEDI), while still fully compliant with IMO regulations. The first of these Svelte Bow Hulls has been named “Gaschem Homer” and is expected to be delivered by December 2021.

Addition to above, one LPG tanker joined Hartmann last January, and two more B-Gas tankers are coming this August-September 2021. This brings the total number of newly added tankers at six.

What does this mean for HCP crew?

With the growing number of dual-powered LPG fleet and the recently signed commercial contracts, it is expected that opportunities for our Filipino seafarers remain open at the Hartmann Group. All crew are advised to keep in touch with their crewing officers for possible openings in these vessels in the near future.
