HCP summer outing will make you want an eco-retreat!

April-23-2018

We know all too well that heading to the beach could either be an excellent choice to unplug yourself from the daily city grind or an unlucky decision to getting stuck in head-to-head crowds in the summer.

This is why for this year, Hartmann Crew Philippines (HCP) took a break from vitamin sea and plunged into a new experience to relax and disconnect from the world.

Last March 24-25, HCP employees took a trip into the outskirts of Antipolo City to breathe in the fresh mountain air of Mt. Purro Nature Reserve (MPNR).

It was a two-hour drive away from the Metro, towards the foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range, in Barangay Calawis, Antipolo City.

Sprawling with lush greenery and fresh air, MPNR allows visitors to fully immense in the beauty of nature-- a soothing ambiance that is exactly what everyone needs to destress from the city life and meditate.

Apart from savoring nature, MPNR also has facilities and outdoor activities which could keep everyone occupied while detached from smart phones. The area has no WI-FI and limited cellphone signal (just update your social media fans later) which means more time for activities such as:

• Team-building activities – rope courses, zipline and rappelling

• Horseback Riding

• Hiking trails

• River-trekking

• Interaction with the Dumagats

• Traditional Hilot Massage and many more

MPNR also serves its guests with signature “lutong bahay” (home cooked) dishes served by their friendly staff. Guests may also book cozy accommodations and experience the feeling of rustic living.

On the other hand, one unique thing that also happened in this year is that the employees got to experience a half-day meditation workshop by Mr. Randolf M. Bustamante — a writer, book editor, literary translator and a practitioner of mindfulness meditation.

The workshop introduced them to basic mindfulness meditation — a secular, practical, portable technique of sitting meditation as a tool for mindful working and living (and stress management). It consisted of PowerPoint presentation with videos, conversation, and actual guided practice.
