Hartmann Crew Philippines Kids’ Day Out: Young at Art Workshop

It was a day off for the parents as Hartmann Crew Philippines (HCP) took over to treat the kids of its crew and employees with a half-day art workshop last August 18 at the CRI Penthouse.

Inspired by the work of their seafarer-dads, the theme of the artworks was the sea—and what you can find on its surface or below.

To help the kids come up with their artwork, a peg board of design inspirations were made available for them to use a reference for their ideas. They started with their sketches then transferred it to their final canvas.

“Yesterday was a fun-filled day for our kids and for us parents as well. We are very thankful to HCP and their family center for this kind of activities which brings families of crew closer despite the very nature of their job of being away from their loved ones.” Said Jeniffer Penueco Pagalunan, wife of 2E Abrocel Pagalunan.

Families of HCP also have the opportunity to send artwork onboard through HCP Family Center’s Padala Service.

This activity is part of HCP’s continuing efforts to live out its mantra of building careers, preserving families, strengthening a nation.

This coming October, HCP is set to conduct another seminar for the wives of its crew in Manila and nearby areas. Stay tuned on HCP’s Facebook page for further details.
