Hartmann Group To Manage New Oldendorff Vessels

November-15-2018

Starting January 2019, Hartmann Dry Cargo Germany (HDC) will be taking on the full technical management of four Oldendorff Newbuildings.

These include new Ultramax ships which are the most modern bulk carriers in the market. They are equipped with economical ME-main engines and fuel-saving technologies such as the Mewis duct and rudder bulb. Modern Handymax vessels are also going to be part of this Hartmann-managed fleet.

Oldendorff is one of the world's largest dry bulk operators with an average of 700 ships. According to an article published in Tradewinds early this year, "the average age of the fleet is eight (8) years, while the owned part is just five (5) years"

Hartmann Crew Philippines (HCP) will be providing the Filipino crew to join the Oldendorff vessels early next year in addition to the six Oldendorff owned Neo-Panamax Bulkers, which are managed already by HDC and are sailing with HCP-Crew.
