HCP Career Department hosts Batch 25 of Leadership Training Seminar- S.A.I.L.

From August 17 to 19, junior officers and select land-based staff of Hartmann Crew Philippines (HCP) joined S.A.I.L., a three-day leadership training seminar in partnership with the team of Learning Just Made Better (LJMB) and the HCP Career Development Department. It was held at the First Pacific Leadership Academy in Antipolo.

S.A.I.L. is an acronym for “Sharpening Aptitude In Leadership”. The program is designed for newly promoted officers whose roles will now entail additional responsibility as leaders. Through workshops, activities, and lectures, the goal of the S.A.I.L. program is to develop  the participants’ soft skills which will enable them to interact more effectively with subordinates, colleagues, and superiors.

S.A.I.L. is a permanent program of the HCP Career Development Department and is now on its 25th batch. It is offered for free to all participating crew and is an embodiment of HCP’s mission to build the careers of its seafarers.

In addition to S.A.I.L., crew in management level positions are also provided a specialized leadership training program as part of their continuing education as leaders.
