HCP World Maritime Day ’18 Pushes for Better Seafarers for Better Shipping
“Ilabas natin palagi ‘yong best shot natin and always make yourself irreplaceable na hindi kayo kayang palitan ng iba ,” Head of Human Resource and Career Development – Sea (HRCD-Sea) Jeff Rex Calambuhay said as he spoke to a group of seafarers during the World Maritime Day (WMD) special of Kapihan with CCFC last September 27, Thursday at the CRI Penthouse.
Calambuhay stressed that giving their best performance on board would make Filipino seafarers still competitive despite the challenges in the industry.
Afterward, there was a back-to-back health awareness talk about obesity discussed by Dra. Eleanor Bengco-Tan, of Health Metrics Inc. and about the myths of generic medicine care of Generika Drugstore.
Meanwhile, happening simultaneously at the lounge were the booths of PNB and Maritime Multi-Purpose Cooperative offering their services and giving freebies for all the attendees.
The newly launched HCP mobile app also had a booth to introduce this new service of HCP to its seafarers. To give a treat, there was a mini-game wherein the winner will get a prize from ‘Kuya Wheel,’ a wheel of fortune-inspired roulette.
A portion of the lounge was also transformed to display the winning entries of the photo contest. HCP would like to thank all its seafarers who joined and congratulate the winners!
