A Love to Keep: A Post-Valentine Special for HCP Crew and their wives

Seafarer marriages are often confronted by hardships in communication and intimacy due to the physical distance seafaring is called for. To bridge this gap between couples, Hartmann Crew Philippines in coordination with Maritime Multi-purpose Cooperative (MMPC), invited its crew and their wives to a post-valentine special “A Love to Keep,” held at The Bayleaf Intramuros last February 23-24, 2019.

The event commenced with a seminar-workshop facilitated by Dr. Cynthia Gavino of Ruben M. Tanseco, SJ Center for Family Ministries (RMT-CEFAM). The seminar tackled research findings on seafarer marriages, marital emotional needs, intimacy, and the secrets to keeping the romance alive across the seas. The couples also reminisced the past and looked into the future by writing love letters for each other and renewing their vows.

The event closed with a romantic dinner for the couples where they dedicated songs for their spouses and sing with the live band on stage. As a treat from HCP, the couples enjoyed an overnight stay with breakfast at the hotel.

A Love to Keep is a program of Hartmann Crew Philippines every two to three years, in line with the company’s mantra of Building Careers, Preserving Families, and Strengthening a Nation.
